Hrm.... where can I fit in ominous floating coffins.... Book Nine?

Why am I imagining that coffin gliding, Dalek style? (As a side note, damn is Davros's history perfect Darklord fodder. I could so see a construct race that keeps resurrecting its lich-mummy creator because they find they need his creativity to give them the edge needed to survive.)

For some reason I see that as a weird spin on the God Brain and his little tentacled children. Like maybe the brain suckers go after human brains because they can't be creative otherwise.
"No, but evil is still being — Is having reason — Being reasonable! Mousie understands? Is always being reason. Is punishing world for not being... Like in head. Is always reason. World should be different, is reason."
That'd be a good generalized motivation for mind flayers and their minions. Sort of like how you can always assume a vampire is after blood, or a lich is after sinister knowledge.

Do us a favor Luv, Stick yer 'ead in a bucket a kick it!
So, gentlemen, that's how it is. Until Grissome.... resurfaces, I'm the acting president, and I say starting with this... anniversary festival, we run this city into the ground! :D
Only thing is that it took me two read-throughs to get that Satine was trying to touch the coffin, and found that it was only mist. I'm not sure how to make it any more obvious outside of dialogue("I can't feel anything...!"), which might ruin the feel you are going for.
A bird, the guy speaking, and then a switch over to Satine's theorizing. It's like painting a big bulls eye on yonder magician. Nice transition there, by the way.
I keep thinking that out other girl needs a fro pick, or something. That short, it almost looks like a helmet.
Partially due to screwing up the Drunk Duck site and putting up the comic early, and partially due to the Thanksgiving holiday and having to put these up manually, I'm just putting up all three of this week's comics today. Have fun with your friends and family instead of checking the internet for my comic, and have a great Thanksgiving folks.

Or do. Whatever.
Read too much into what- crazy hypno eyes?
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

*crazy hypno eyes* Absolutely. Do not read into the crazy hypno eyes. They are perfectly normal.

More than 'doppelganger', this scene makes me think 'rakshasa'. o_o Crazy theory time: the rakshasa thinks the protagonist is one as well, because she radiates the inhuman ...?
