Deltherin begins to scream- but the sound is little more than a muffled, choked grunting due to his cloth gag. Blood from his broken nose has soaked the gag. He strains his muscles trying to break free of his bonds- a futile attempt to escape. He's sweating profusely now. Fear is clearly evident on his face, in his bloodshot eyes.
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Rardi doesn't bother with Delthrin, only to say. "I be really sorry fer ye, but ye chose yer bed now ye gots ta lie in it. Whatever he does to ye can't be any worse what ye've done to others, ye bastard." Rardi walks out the door they came in and closes it. He deserves it, is all she can say to herself as she waits for the others. She wondered if they should return to the surface without the necromnacer.
Archedius opens the door as soon as Rardi closes it and addresses bother her and Inovidil, as he speaks blood and rot dribble out of his mouth and run down his chin,
"Okithruu read Deltherin's mind at my request and this is what it found out: A being called 'The Raven Queen' attacked the city but has been destroyed by something- not Deltherin. Deltherin defended the city. "
He takes a moment to spit on the ground before continuing,
"He apparently has no memories of harming a human child and supports the orphanage with his money, adults are a different matter. He's vivisected many beings for his experiments and we were reassigned so as to not interfere with them...which we just did."
"Now, I don't know what you two are going to be doing but I NEED to go with Okithruu and Deltherin..."
Walking over towards Okithruu, he grabs Deltherin's restraints with one hand and hoists the Necromancer up onto his shoulder and nods at the illithid.

Ino looks one last glance to Delthrin and follows Rardi out of the room. She doesn't know what the illithid wants to do with the necromancer but for Delthrin's reaction she understands that will not be very pleasant for him.
When Archedius announces them that he has decided to follow the mindflyer and Delthrin Inovidil just looks at Rardi really worried about the warrior and says:
"What we do, we follow him? I know nothing about mindflyers and I don't know if we can trust Okithuru with Archedius."

the verandah-
Threan, with several minutes' work, is able to disarm the traps on the front door and open the lock, allowing entry.
Inside, the house is lit by lamps that glow with heatless green fire. It is well-appointed in an old -fashioned style, but only indifferently cleaned- the house of a man who has old money and taste, but perhaps doesn't often receive visitors.
the lab-
As soon as Archedius grabs Deltherin, Okithruu grabs Archedius and all three figures vanish with an audible snap, like a tiny thunderclap.

Blaise looks around, his gaze peering into the shadows and looking for more arcane wards or magical auras. "I don't hear anything right now. Do you?" he says to his companions. "I've been here once before. Let's head for the study."

The Old Shell
Alain allows him self to become enchanted with Jamethon's tale of the brilliant and beautiful lands of Lantan which are, much like most others, out of reach.
Regardless of whether or not the place exists, Jamethon paints a wonderful picture of a place where the accomplishments of man thrive and war is a last resort. It would be amazing to see such a place someday.
"This Lantan...is this where you are from?"[/i]

''Oh, no, Alain, did I never tell you? I'm from Mordent. You're Dementlieuese, is that right? You aren't forgetting our homeworld, I hope.''

Inovidil sighs.
"Guess you are right Rardi. I can always scry on Archedius and check on him tomorrow. We have already looked at the lab, better try to find the child, because despite what Archedius said I saw a child's size slipper in there!"

ground floor of Blackpillars, Deltherin's study-
Blaise, Shana, and Threan navigate the dark halls to arrive at Deltherin's study. The room is simple and utilitarian, its only decorations are childish finger paintings in bright colors. Books line a small shelf, and there is a writing desk , side table, and a big upholstered chair. A book lays open on the desktop, with a writing kit beside it, and also an unlit candle. This part of the house is dark, so Shana and Ironheart must use a lamp or torch to see.
While searching the study, all three of the rescue party hear footsteps and voices from a nearby room or hallway!

"You three stay here while I scout out the next few rooms for foes or friends of ours ." Saying this to Ironheart , Blaise, and Shana then Threan goes up to the door to listen and open it up quietly before scouting further ahead .

Alain gives an uncomfortable smirk before replying.
"Our home..of course I haven't forgot. I have never been to Mordent."
He can't help but feel a flush of foolishness for jumping to such a conclusion. After a moment or two he looks back to Jamethon.
"You are right, though. I am from Port a' lucine." His face contorts to a momentary expression which could only be described as a minute flash of anguish, occurring so quick and evaporating equally so as to possibly be unnoticed or thought as imagined. He changes the subject quickly.
"How is it you came across such a wondrous place, this Lantan? Is it one of the places spoke about lying in the mists? A place like Staunton Bluffs?"
