Realms of Dread Chapter Two
Rardi looks at Shana. "Dispel yer wall, me spell will most likely do 'em in. Hurry! I'll heal ye all later."
Rardi moves past Blaise and Shana into the room. She focuses her spell on the undead.
Ok also if they aren't dead after the spell, the dwarf will turn them.

the study-
First the celestial radiance of Rardi's spell, and then Shana's bright missiles, strike the single remaining undead. The creature crumples and falls to the floor- now just a dessicated husk in battered armor. It lays still.
The expected burst of necrotic energy catches Ironheart, further injuring the big man.
He vents his fury on the remains of his foe, hacking the dead thing into small pieces.

Inovidil winks at Shana and says:
"I always considered major image a great spell! Great use Shana!"
Then she turns to Rardi and says:
"Great timing Rardi! Thanks!"
When the cleric heals everyone the evoker says:
"If all of you feel better now, I think we should check the rest of the house for any other clues or proofs against Delthrin and then leave. Don't forget that we didn't find the child yet, if there is any. Or we can leave now and return to search the rest of the house tomorrow. I cannot teleport you to town now, so we will have to go on foot. What do you prefer?"

Alain smiles and replies, "Well, after everything is settled here, we must go to Lantan. Even if their is no portal leading to our world, surely we could study enough of what is their to discern a possible way back to our own"
Jamethon smiles at these words.
''Yes, you have a good idea, there, Alain. The sages of Lantan might prove of some assistance in our search. Besides, some sunshine and warm air would be good for our health, after all this fog and chill in Marsember. ''

Blaise breathes a little more easily after Rardi's healing takes effect. "Thank you, again," he mutters. "I'm thoroughly tired of dealing with non-living foes. No minds to confuse and no appreciation for arcane poetry."
He picks up the abacus that he spotted, giving Shana a conspiratorial wink as he does so. He says to Inovidil, "Yes, if Delthrin does have a daughter, as seems clear, we should find her .... but based on everything we've seen so far, I doubt she's a member of the living. Grotesque, but probably true.
"And Rardi ... a mind flayer? Really?" He sounds delighted. "Where is it?"
"I like your new ensemble, Shana," he says mischievously. "You could make a fortune selling that fashion in Waterdeep." He seems pleased that Shana is sounding better after the trauma of the ghouls' attack.kintire wrote:Shana sits wearily down in an intact chair arranging the ghoul-torn rags of her clothes to provides basic decency

Ironheart slumps down on the desk, using it as a chair.
The brawny man takes a long pull on his winsekin and then coughs twice, very softly. He looks about the room with bloodshot eyes, scanning for any other hidden foes or traps. He does not speak when Rardi heals him, but issues an emphatic grunt of approval.

''Well, I'm off to bed. It's well past midnight, and I have a few things I need to do during the day tomorrow. It has been good to speak with you, Alain. Good night, then.''

Ino tells the rest of the party what happened with the mind flayer and Archedius' decision to follow it.
"That's all. I'm really worried about Archedius know that I learnt that illithids feed with brains...I'll scry on him first thing in the morning. Now better move and search the rest of the house."
She starts to move towards the door but she returns as a question bumps in her mind.
"Despite we are really very happy to see you here and your help was precious, I have a question, who told you that we needed help and how you arrived here?"

Blaise smirks. "Well, it's amusing, in a twisted sort of way," he says. "That smuggling case that some of us thought would be a waste of time? Alain, Threan, and I took a look ... and Delthrin was behind that, too! He was using henchmen, both living and undead, to carry the crates. Threan overheard Delthrin say something about an alarm being triggered at his home, and he was leaving to punish the intruders.VAN wrote:"Despite we are really very happy to see you here and your help was precious, I have a question, who told you that we needed help and how you arrived here?"
"Back at the inn, he told us what he overheard, and Shana and I looked at each other -- lovingly, of course -- and we thought, 'Uh oh, sounds like Inovidil!' So with Threan and this little fellow," he gestures at Ironheart, "we made our way over here as quickly as possible. Speaking of which, our 'ride' is still waiting for us ... until the dawn, if I recall correctly. I think the ghouls ate part of my memory."
