Nissa chokes a little , drinking her water.tarlyn wrote:Rardi looks at Nissa. "Yer didnt ask me ifn I killed Delthrin an I am rightly hopin ye'll find out if in fact that was Delthrin's body."
''Umm..I'm afraid you are missing the point entirely, Mistress Silverhelm. No one is accusing you of actually having slain Delthrin with your own hands. The accusation of murder is predicated on the idea that you illegally broke into the home of a man you hated, assaulted him and took him as a prisoner, and then turned him over to a monster that you had reason to believe might very well kill him. According to my examination and your answers, all of that is perfectly true. ''
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

''Ah, nice to have met you, as well. I'll see about your companions, now.''tarlyn wrote:"Awright then, thanks fer yer time then," the dwarf sighs. "Twer nice ter meetcha, Nissa."
With that, the lady in green departs.
A guard enters the room with a cloth in his hand. Two men with swords stand behind him, staring at Rardi
''Open wide, dwarf, time for the gag again.''

Shana-
This time, Shana knows she's dreaming.
Delthrin sits at the foot of the bed, watching her from under hooded eyes. He smiles, his perfect teeth gleaming dully in the semi-darkness of the bedchamber.
''Shana, I don't want you to worry about rotting. I shall preserve your loveliness and grace. My magics shall hold your animate corpse in a state of undecaying perfection, and you shall please me with your dancing.''
Delthrin stands and moves towards Shana. He runs his right hand along the edge of the bed.
''You once suggested that I might have a lover, Shana. It is true that I am not immune to such tempations of the flesh, such needs of the heart.''
Now Delthrin is very close. Shana cannot seem to move, despite knowing that this is only a dream. The bedsheets feel as if they weigh two hundred pounds and are stiff and hard as wrought iron.
''I have watched you from the shadows, watched you search for me. I have come to desire you, Shana, not just your lovely flesh, but also for your soul. Give yourself to me and I will be merciful. I will spare your friends a fate as my undying slaves- souls trapped in rotting bodies, forever unfree, forever at my command.

Old Shell Inn
The dwarf walks into the Inn. "So this be the place Mistress Silverhelm said she was stayin with Archedius. He looks around, noticing quite a few patrons. Walking up the bar, the bald dwarf hops up onto a stool. His red beard is braided and touches his breast plate. An axe sticks out from his hip. He only has one free hand as the other holds a steel shield. He does however have the permit for his weapon. Silly thing, but better to have one than get into trouble with the law.
Looking at the barkeep, he says "I'll have an ale and would like a room." Once he is served he slides a few coins across the counter, more than enough to pay for his ale. Leaning forward, he says in a low voice "Listen, them coins also cover me getting a few easy answers. I am a friend of one Miss Rardi Silverhelm an Archedius. Me name is Balzar, Balzar Ettinsmasher. Are they here, and if not, might I be able to find someone who can tell me their wherabouts?'

A youngish girl , not quite yet a woman, answers the newcomer.
''Umm...Mistress Rardi stays here, yes, and so does Master Archedius. Um...they aren't here right now and they haven't left any note saying where they'd gone or when they'll be back. Should I give them a message from you when I see them?''
The bucktoothed, freckle-faced girl continues swabbing the bar while awaiting an answer.

The girl takes the three gold coins from Balzar. She bites each coin in turn with her big teeth.
''Hmmm...Rask...Rask...no I don't think I know anyone named Rask. I do know a fellow named Rasp who hangs around here, do you mean him?''

Balzar frowns. "Hmmm... let's see. Captain Rask of the guard. She joined with a few other people. They're part of a special task force. Names, names, uh er,," he drops his backpack and opens it, looking for something. He smiles as he pulls it out. A folded piece of paper. He scans it and looks at the young lass.
"Yeah they be an Inovidil, Alain, Blaise and one Moorkroft. Yeah they be the names she wrote in me letter, miss."
ewan I am taking the liberty of Rardi having written in her letter to Balzar the names of the people in the task force, the party in other words. Only Shana isn't mentioned because though she is with the party, she isn't part of the task force. She's sure the others won;t mind being mentioned, but Shana may take offense. Ironheart is brand new and Threan wasn't known at the time of the letter.

"Thanks, miss." He places his backpack back on his shoulder and grabbing his ale, turns to find Jamethon now in front of him. He smiles at the man and with his free hand, offers it to Moorkroft for a handshake.
"Ye be Jamethon Moorkroft? Mistress Silverhelm wrote to me and asked me to come. She wrote of you and a few others. I'm sorry, where are me manners. I be Balzar, Balzar Ettinsmasher. I was in the army with both she an Archedius. Might we grab a table an chat? Ale's on me. Well met."

The man before Balzar is a bit taller than most humans, but certainly no giant. His unkempt hair and beard are as black as a crow's wing, which contrasts sharply with his pallid complexion. He's lean, maybe even a little underfed. His clothes are of faded black, almost gray, and show signs of frequent repair. A plain sort of slim cut and thrust sword hangs at his left side, and a weird object with a wooden stock at his right [a pistol, but Balzar has likely never seen one before].
''Be my guest.''
Jamethon motions towards the table.
