I think that we can skirt around the oncoming monkey-men w/out going too far off course, so that we don't get lost. We don't want to get caught in a huge fight against unknown enemies. Also, we want to try to get info. and not just kill them all. Where are the kids? Why did they steal them? Are they working for someone else? Of course, Isidar's armor will make it hard for her to run through the woods stealthily, but it's best to avoid the fight if we can. Those are my 2 cents.

My problem is that they know the forest and we no, plus if they listen to us they will do an ambush again which is worse for us.

Is a good idea capture someone and not kill them all and ask the questions you said.

We can still take our chances and try to do what Ewan said, for sure they will have a village or something where they will keep the children which most probably will be from the side they come. Just in a fit forest without a ranger isn't easy to know where you going, we might find ourselves do circles and be easy prey for them.

We can use the raven if Ewan agrees. It can fly, find the village and guide Deselnora! :D

You are 100% right that a ranger would be very useful just now. :) We haven't got one and will just have to make do.

The enemy undoubtedly heard those gunshots. We must therefore presume that the monsters know our direction and perhaps approximate location- so we need to beat feet.

Staying near the kill site and springing another ambush is fine- except that most of the party lacks Sara's skill at hiding, so the monkey-men might spot us. They know to look for us in this area, but may not expect us to appear behind them. The other problem is that we have no idea how many are on their way- it could be a large group. Staying put could get us swarmed by angry monkey-boys with nets, spears, etc.

Van- I don't want to place my familiar at that level of risk just now, but if we get lost, I'll send him up to orient for us- he will be able to tell us which way the village ( human fishing village by the sea) is, at least. I dunno if the tree cover will be too thick for him to spot monkey-boys in the woods. Using him to help re-orient us is still a very good idea, Van! :)

It is early Fall, right, Lord Skybolt? Are these trees evergreen or broadleaf? How thick is the overhead growth? Are the trees close together?

Evergreen and it is early fall . And light over head growth, except were several of the trees are growing close together .

P.S.:So what is the group going to do then ?

Please indicate here or in IC what the group will be doing then . You have few more pages of talking in IC to decide either filled in by me or the players    .

Not to be a jerk, but I forced the issue, IC. We don't have time for a long IC debate- we have to make a quick decision or the monkey-boys will be all over us before we can either move or hide. Out of courtesy to the other players, I asked OOC what they all wanted to do. I will go with the majority.

Want to avoid direct contact with oncoming monsters, move behind, look for village/prisoners=

Prefer to remain in this part of the forest=

Van

Even if BBQD voted with Van, it seems clear that most of the group prefers the first option.

Lord Skybolt, Arnulf will try to Move Silently and Listen.
I gather that it is the Stealth for M/S and Perception for Listen.

Move Silently: 18

You are correct . Perception in Pathfinder is for search/spot/listen checks .
And Stealth is for MS and Hide checks .

Arnulf- After hearing the outraged monkey cries, Arnulf realizes that some of the monkey men have found the two dead ones. He follows Lorna, hoping she is trying to double back to surprise the outraged monkeymen.
Dalorna- Dalorna cuts a wide arc through the woods, hoping to avoid altogether the outraged monkey-men.

Awesome!
