Alain resist's the sleep . He then goes to bring the vials to the rest the party . He gives one out to each character expect for Eustace saying that they should drink these . He will keep the remaining on him in his bag . Then he will look for blankets and/or something the can soak up alot of water and keep in . If he does not immediately find something like this he will take the one bedroll he has in his Bag out to soak up alot of water and then he will throw it on the alchemical fire to smother it . Then after does that he will search the chest for traps and then he will try to open it if it has no traps . Or disable traps first then try to open it .

He will only try to check the chest after the fire fueling the mold is smothered first .

Search for traps on chest : http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3061663/

Disable after for either the lock or the trap that there may be on it :

If the chest is trapped Thom will chuckle quietly to himself as he watches Alain try figure out how to disarm it.

Okay, noted. That's a lot of stuff- but with combat over, he has time to do it.

EDIT:
I'm going to hold on resolving some of those actions until the other players have had a chance to catch up, and post if they like.

Feel free to roleplay with dialogue posts, of course.

I need to know if anyone else actually drinks the stuff.

Why would he assume that Alain doesn't know how?

Do you mean that he just laughs at Alain's work, regardless of how competent the man appears to be?

I'm unclear on this.

Alain just doesn't look the part. :P

He could be wrong but it still amuses Thom.

Ewan please post how competent he looks as he brings out his masterwork thieves tools to help him deal with the chest .
OH and I forgot that open look is separate skill so here is roll it also :
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3061686/ .

If Thom's wishes to assist Alain . Alain will certainly take the help . Considering all Alain really know about Thom is that he is bookseller :) . He did not stay in the cavern to see how he did against the "demons" .

Like I said, it doesn't matter how competent Alain looks while doing, Thom still finds it amusing.

I need to know- who is opening the chest? Thom? Alain? Both working together?
Is Alain first trying to put out the fire /stop the mold, or deal with the chest. He can't do both at once.

Assuming Alain doesn't stop him, Thom will be opening the chest.
