Re: Birthright Tuornen Chapter 3
Roald proceeds to the room that he shares with Reese. Inside, he picks out the chest with Dominca's armor and weapons. Placing the chest in front of her, he does not unlock it. Instead, he places both of his hands on top of the chest and leans toward Dominica, giving her a hard look.
"Before I allow you to have your weapons back, I require your oath of honor that you will not use your blades against either myself or Reese. If you can't make that oath, your if you lie to me, I'll throw this chest into the river. Understood?"

Dominica folds her arms over her chest. She nods, grim. "I shall not use my weapons against you or Reese, I vow. I wish merely to get back home. I will do all that is in my power to accomplish this. Let us start anew, Roald. From this day forth, I will do all that is in my power to help you attain your goal of getting me safely to Coeryanys."
She smiles and offers her hand for a handshake, like men do between themselves.
"Have we an understanding?"

Roald stares at Dominia for a moment before nodding and pulling out the key to the chest and unlocking it.

HUNTED BY THE GOBLINS-
Cormac fires a few arrows to discourage the goblins, and then turns his horse's head and follows the others...
...As the weary horses rest atop a high hill, Cormac and his companions look north and see the sunlit brown hills crawling with goblins and wolves. An accurate count proves impossible, because the folds of the land tend to conceal the foe, but Gunnar estimates well over a hundred goblins and dozens of great wolves--perhaps many more.

Cormac pants and pats his horse on the neck.
"Tha' about enough Gobs to warrant fallin' back?" Cormac wryly asks Gunnar.
He sidles his horse over beside Dietric's, slapping him on the shoulder. "Good job, lad," Dietric says under his breath. "Yeh prob'ly saved my life back there."

"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

"That is enough goblins to rouse the province to war against this invasion of goblins from the north ."Gunnar says grimly to Cormac as he spurs Rumble in the direction of nearest garrisoned troops .

The woman approaches her chest and smiles. "Hello, old friends. Good to see you. Now if you don't mind, Roald, I will take this to my room and change there. After that supper is on me." She reaches for her chest, closing it, and begins to carry it.

"It's won't be a war, it will be a skirmish." The Huntsman says. "It will take to long to get the Count Ghonallison. Luckily I know a place much closer with enough men to handle this warband." He says turning his horse away from others.
"You can either come with or take chances making it back to the Count, the choice is yours."
The Huntsman heads off towards the Temple of Cuirceancen.

History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

Dietric shakes his head at the Huntsman's words
After the Huntsman rides down the hill to the northeast, Dietric spits out a bitter laugh and turns to face Gunnar and Cormac. "He's got a death-wish. Skirmish? Is he crazy? That's a feckin' army down there, I'll bet. We should fly south, warning folk along the way."
