perhaps that's ability she gets only when wearing Eva's head?Joël of the FoS wrote:Another question, To Sleep with Evil suggests she can travel the mist without risk of errors, or with less risks (?), similar of a vistani's ability, but her Gaz description isn't saying anything about it (same with MCII). Suggestions ?

2-3 days? about 2 a week? that's over 100 deaths a year?
Something like 356 / 3 = about.... 119 o.O' Guess some could be scavaged off already dead bodies?
To poster above me. Interesting, I mean.... technically the head's vistani... xD

She gets the abilities of the head when she wears it, which means she has access to Vistani mist walking abilities when she wears Madame Eva's head. Just be glad she doesn't seem to have figured out she can travel in time while wearing it.
Also, since Eva's immune to aging, her head won't age when Jacqueline wears it either. But she hates it regardless.
Jacqueline's original description mentions the aging but not the negative levels (obviously, because they didn't really exist in 2e). Personally, I'd drop the idea that her heads get negative levels, or make it so they only get temporary negative levels, which means she can wear them for a day or two at a time before she has to swap heads. The heads will then recover over the next few days (although they won't get younger).
If you want to keep the extreme aging, I'd put in a lag, so the aging only kicks in if she wears the head for more than 12 hours (or something like that). So she is compelled to swap around her heads every few hours or so. RLMCII does say she swaps them with her mood and her clothes, so that would fit with what we know about her.

No, it's mentioned that her head might be in Castle Avernus amongst Azalin's From the Shadows head collection. That's what you're thinking of.vipera aspis wrote:Does anyone else remember reading about her head being in the black vault? Maybe it was just eluded to.

Re: Jackie Montarri
^This posses a few questions from me....
First, if she did figure it out would she hunt down more Madame Eva or try to "stop herself?"
!!!!! (another random idea off that) What if the Madame Eva she killed wasn't actually Madame Eva... but herself.... o.O' (you could get some twisted things possibly there xD)
Secondly, if she ever did find her original head.... do you think she'd use it or keep it? I mean it's probably pretty but she could wear other people's heads that might be much prettier... no? Would she give up the ability to change people whenever she wanted?

Re: Jackie Montarri
If she finds her real head, she gets immortality and eternal youth, so I'd say yes, she would like to find it.
If the Madame Eva head is actually her real head, she wouldn't have Eva's ability to travel in time and through the Mists in the first place, so she couldn't go back in time to kill/be killed by herself in the first place. So no.
I can see her trying to intervene in her own past to stop herself from losing her head (either figuratively, by stopping herself from going to Castle Ravenloft, or literally, by seeing what happened to it after she was beheaded) though.

Sorry if i wasn't clear there Ryan. I meant what if the "Eva" she killed was actually herself going back in time and trying to "stop" herself by pretending to be Eva. Then she 'kills' herself and get's cursed by "Eva". A weird time conundrum to say the least. xD They won't always make sense but what the hell! xD
does that make it any more clear? It just seemed like you miss interpreted my post. xD

I'm still not sure it makes sense, but as you say, what the hell. It would explain why "Eva" was so easy to decapitate, even if it creates a few paradoxes along the way.

The only problem is.... who was the original 'Eva' and if you think too hard your brain starts to decompose as fast as Jackie's head!
