That said I've been doing a bit of tweaking to my character and I'd like to have him set for posting over the weekend.

Re: Javenloft
RECAP From Prior Post!
Born in Nova Vassa his parents were among the poor population and moved when he was very young, to the neighboring country to get away from the horrible debts, and nobles of Nova Vassa. Figuring they could strike out a simple life in Barovia they moved hoping to live off the land and the taxes imposed by Count Strahd seemed pale in comparison to Nova Vassa.
Thus Felix grew up learning two langauges of Balok and Vaasi as his native tongue as well as the elven language his parents taught. They told him it was important to know his heritage. Many Barovia's kept distant from them being elves but over time they came to know that they were just like people themselves and stories about 'fey' kind might be a bit more fairy tale than made out to be.
Around twenty years old his mother died to an 'animal' attack. His father had been very sad when he had come home from the forest that day. His father wouldn't let him see his mother's body and only told him she was gone.
(i'm seeding things possibly for the DM later?)
So they moved away, far away. He was told of a land far north that elves were treated with more respect and accepted. From the secluded Barovian's that distrusted strangers and anything alien it seemed like that place would be a paradise.
They traveled along River's from Barovia to the Musarde and eventually came to Richemulot. This place was more accepting of Elves but travelers from many different nations gave differing opinions. It was easy enough to stay away from crowds if one didn’t want to be found. This is where Felix learned most of his ability to pass unnoticed through the streets, back alleyways, and past people. When he didn’t want to be found it was quite hard to find him, and it wasn’t long before he found that he spooked even the rats that used the sewers.
Years of farming in Barovia had made it interesting to adapt to city life and Felix had decided to explore whenever his father worked as a butcher since there was little need for farming in the city. It was around this age he got curious of his father's sword, and he was taught basic self defense.
It was clear he only wanted to teach his son just enough, but not to be a warrior. His father had mostly been passive to all the distrust, and understanding of people’s misguided hostility. He hated his father for this and couldn’t understand why he didn’t lash out. He found that he loved trying to wield his father’s decorated sword, and it wasn’t long before he met Lyla, a human who first meeting was about his age appearance wise. She beat him in a duel after having made fun of him.
He was determined to beat her, and vowed childishly that he would. They ended up becoming friends in his eyes, though he was jealous of her flowing movements with her small rapier. She taught him how to “Dance” though it wasn’t long before she was growing to look much older than him, and more responsibilities were placed on her. She never wanted to introduce him to her family which he found odd since he had introduced his father to her.
One day his father abruptly announced they were headed north. He seemed worried like something was on his mind. He was told he was to never see Lyla again because she was from a dangerous family. They were headed north again to the fabled land of acceptance. They had learned this land was called Darkon but it lay on the far side of a horrible land that executed non-humans or made them into slaves with brands. He had seemed some men sneer in his direction with that symbol on their forehead. A Hawk…
Harboring Ill feelings for his father they left the city, he would not disobey his father it was the only person he had left of family in the world and his bond was deep no matter if he disagreed he obeyed. They crossed the Falkovnia border and he found his father was good at sneaking too! A trait that no doubt ran in the family.
They had some close calls and this is we’re he saw his first battle. His father showed amazing skill with a blade. When he had taught his son it was only at passing skill now he saw and marveled at the ease in which he “danced”. It was after this however he realized his father didn’t trust him for some reason, he didn’t teach him much though his father had beamed to see his son could handle the sword he had bought from a smith in Richemulot before leaving.
They made it to the other border of Falkovnia but they were unlucky and ran into a patrol that surprised them. Only he managed to escape while his father held them off saying he would catch up with him. Only he never did…. stumbling through the Forest of Shadow he hid from everyone expecting his father to find him. Knowing if he just waited one more day he would walk into camp and they would be reunited….
DARKON
Felix had lived in Darkon all his life. Born and raised in Nevuchar Springs, and had upon his 45th birthday set out to see the rest of Darkon. He made it all the way to Il Aluk and had decided to look upon the Forest of Shadows, though he had found Castle Avernus he had decided against going in. Instead he headed back from the pristine castle back to Il Aluk. He had come to learn the Arcane Arts at one of the colleges. Here he would learn the basics of spell casting. He would also find he was good at sneaking and one day find that a sword fit his hand. He found it odd that a weapon would seem so familiar to him.
________________________________
Felix eventually came to know another elf by the name Dimmer, he was a scribe that worked amongst the tombs in the library of the college he went to. He kept to himself much like Felix kept to themselves. Over the first few years they only took passing notice of each other because they were both in library longer than most. Felix to practice the Arts and Dimmer whatever he was looking for or scribing for. A few nights Dimmer had left the lights on for him for Felix tended to study long into the night. When he woke up from sleep there was bread left for him on the table.
That's when Felix decided to ask about Dimmer, though most people just said he had shown up about a year before he had arrived they said he had originally come here from Dementlieu. When asked how they knew they they claimed only Dementlieu made contraptions like the one he had brought with him.
More time past and Felix found Dimmer sleeping, it looked like he was scribing a copy of a book for some purpose or another and had fallen asleep. He was muttering something in his sleep. When Felix looked over to examine the book he noticed it was the beginning of a spell formula that he had never seen before, and Dimmer was subconciously writting it! He decided not to mention this to anyone and had finally decided to break their 'silent pact'.
Felix asked Dimmer if he knew anything about magic or the books he scribed and surprisingly he didn't. Felix was a bit perplexed as to how this could happen, though it seemed Dimmer had a few memory issues with anything specific that had happened more than 20 years ago. He remembered general stuff but couldn't recall any specific stories.
Felix and Dimmer would become more accquainted over the years, and Felix would keep an eye out for Dimmer's sleep episodes. He would talk to people in his sleep, sometimes for a "Sarenel?" Nothing yeilded answers, but it was clear there was something wrong with Dimmer's head. What could it be! He tried to think of how it would be like to recall nothing. What scared him the most was that he could. He couldn't recall much beyond the recent years at the college. Could he have the same thing? Albeit to a lesser degree? Why did a sword 'feel right' in his hands?
It wasn't long after this revelation that Dimmer began to have trouble with money. Felix knew they didn't get paid much so he had come to offer assistance with whatever little money he had only to find Dimmer using an odd contraption to blow away his current landlord. But something was different, that Dimmer hadn't held himself right. There was something deadly in his eye, like a man who knew how to fight. It wasn't long however before Dimmer had returned to himself. Or maybe not himself.
"You killed him.... that was your landlord right? They'll be after you, you'll need to leave! I'll go get help for him in a few minutes hurry get away, that was a really loud bang!"
Dimmer seemed conciousness enough of this to get a move on, while Felix waited to get the guards. Well things didn't quite turn out like he planned. They immediately suspected him of doing the deed. Through interogation they seemed to know he went to the college and they wanted to know how he had produced the magic to do that to a man when he had displayed no such skill before. He hoped Dimmer had made it out, for they asked about Dimmer as well. Now he was slated for death for a murder he didn't commit, and it was all because the human guard didn't believe he had told the truth!
