Re: Javenloft
To All:
As the guards prod you forward, winding you through the cobbled streets of Il Aluk, you notice that the city is eerily vacant this night.
After a few more minutes of walking, your fears become a reality, as you can now clearly see that you are approaching one of Il Aluk's infamous gallows. Worse yet, an enormous and bright full moon creeps from behind dark clouds to illuminate five familiar looking corpses. They sway back and forth on their nooses in the wind of this cool spring eve.
The well dressed man with the hood tries again to assuage your fears by saying: "Fear not my friends. The gallows are not what fate has in store for you. Though you really should come and have a closer look. No?"

Hanz follows. However, he remembers Eleina's words. DARK. And what would be the price to pay, he wonders.
"Mein Herr. I knowst not who you are. But, you presume we all vill follow your every whim, ja? Soothing words, but to vat end? I am Hanz, but I presume you know already. Vat will be the benefit of looking closer? I for one, wonder what will be the price of our freedom. You ask of us vat exactly, so dot ve may not be in deiner predicament, Mein Herr? I am a man, now, of honor or so I tink so, ja.
I am presumink you know all our names, yet we do not haff knowledge of yours. Would it be too much to ask to knowink your name?"

Must we remain chained?

"No more questions, Anselm. I trust in my fate, mein Herr. You know nothing of Eleina's message to me, I presume. Goot enough. I am sorry to have put you on deiner spot. As you can not personally help me or these men, so I shall let the events unfold."Nemesio wrote:"You have but to ask my friend. My name is Anselm and I am no freer than any of you. Anselm walks over to Kamose and says: "I am just following orders my friend, of whom though, I am not permitted to say. Can I trust you all to follow my direction without attempting flight or violence?"Rexleith wrote:Must we remain chained?

Anselm turns his head to one of his hooded companions and says: "You heard the man. Quench his thirst." With that the hooded henchman reaches into a deep pocket and pulls out a tiny bottle of liquor and passes it to Grimquest.GrimQuest wrote:"I was promised some brew when will we b getting to that a mans last wishes and all"

Felix is still trying to get a bearing on what is going on. They are almost at the gallows and feels a bit ill. It seems the Falkovnian got a letter and the other guy was expecting violence. Well he knew that it would eventually come to that even though he preferred a cleaner get away.

The hooded henchman grunts and shrugs his shoulders. He asks Anslem: "How is he supposed to drink this?" Before Anslem has the chance to answer, his henchman opens the tiny bottle and places it at Grimquest's lips, allowing him to swig it down the old hatch.Nemesio wrote:Anselm turns his head to one of his hooded companions and says: "You heard the man. Anselm instructs the guards to release Kamose from his bonds. Turning to the others he says: "I realize you have no reason to trust me, so now I have given you one. Can I trust the rest of you?"Rexleith wrote:I haven't the heart for violence or flight right now.
Re: Javenloft
Dimmer has composed himself and drags onward. At Anselm's words, he holds up his shackles once more and repeats, Peace, this time, chillingly even.
When Kamose draws near, he can plainly see that the elf is close to death. Blood mingles with the sick slowing drying on him, and half-healed wounds seep blood and infection through his tatters. A Corvian dwarf might stagger under such punishment, but the elf carries on, gripping his chains as if to strangle someone with them. In his eyes, death.
He speaks in an imperial Darkonese, I am well, Akiri. See to the boy.
