Observation check: do the goblins seem like they're trying to lead us into an ambush?

Low numbers are good for 2nd edition proficiency checks, right?

You're trying to roll below the relevant stat IIRC. So yes, I guess?Brock Marsh Runoff wrote:Low numbers are good for 2nd edition proficiency checks, right?

Yes, roll low for NWP checks, as they are actually modified ability checks.
No indication of goblin treachery.
The thing they are eating appears by a charred rodent-- big yellow teeth. Possibly a fur bearing animals, before they or someone else skinned it.
The blankets in the handcart are embroidered; not goblin style at all. They look like local Tuor make, or maybe stuff from some other nearby human country.

Not ambushing yet. Just spying, and will likely join once I see friendly faces. My lads aren't fond of goblins.

Gob surprise-

Considering the distraction of talking with Roald an Renn, the gobs don't get a hint until Cormac and his men are in position.
Cormac may elect to use his HS/MS skills to get even closer without being heard or seen.
He's the sneakiest of the bunch.

I'm going to assume Roald came well-supplied for his adventure. I'll deduct anything I trade to the Goblins from his gold.

You all have adequate, basic supplies and warm clothing, for sure.
Gobs will take cash as well as food.
EDIT-- Or other items.

Roald's essentially offering enough of his rations to feed the four of them for a week. I don't know how many Roald-weeks that translates into, but I figure a week's worth of food for a goblins isn't that much. They're pretty small, after all.

NEWS IN THE NORTH, AUTUMN
The Oakhold, a new temple, grows in Ghoanllsion and establishes normal relations with the Militant order, now rebuilding.
The druid sect also expands into the Five peaks, gathering followers among the human brigands and borderers of Sufhanie (long ago a part of Alamie)

If I didn't know any better, I'd think Cormac doesn't like goblins.

More used to shooting them than talking to them.

Does anybody have a good excel sheet for tracking the season turns on your holdings?

Is there anything from Roald's background as an elf-hunter that would let him glean any clues just looking at the arrow-heads?
