TERMELAN
AFTER DARK
RIVERSIDE

Termelan assists the medic from Gunnar's warband. One hood dies, but the other lives. He may be unconscious for some time; an axe blow to the head filled his torn hood with blood from his scalp and left him with a goose egg.

Termelan yawns. "If Sir Gunnar wants to meet me, he just has to drop a word. I'll be in my room for tonight. You have my gratitude for the help. " Termelan returns to the inn, reassures refugees that all will be well and that the Watch was just a step away and ready to help and goes to his room to sleep. A pity the shutters have been left open in such a chill.

The shutter latch is broken (looks like a tool was shoved in from the outside) but he can still close the shutters and prop something against them, if he likes.

Cranstel taps a finger thoughtfully against his lip. "It isn't a toxin I recognize, I'm afraid. Do you know where we could go to get a sample of the original poison? It would help if I could analyze it directly."
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

"Or," he says, "Perhaps a sample of the necrotizing flesh?" He looks at the healer hopefully.

Priestess Idele nods.
"We can scrape some. I am sure from the way it looks and what Safana told me that it is caused by some kind of poison. A poisoned dagger. She was attacked by some of those hooded ruffians who have been after the poor refugees from Lofton. Maybe they are just after all foreigners now?"

Sir Egremore says,

"If you are foes of The Elf, you have found friends in us.You can stay with us, rest, heal your wounds. And if you want to join us when we retire to the low country for the winter, you may. We won't be staying up here this high much longer. I do need to know the decision of your party's leader, or leaders, soon."

"That is very generous of you, Sir Egremore. A chance to rest and heal is most welcome. But we didn't hazard venturing into these lands simply to kill the Manslayer's pawns, fun though it is. A companion of ours was abducted, as was his ward."

"Sir Roald, I invite you and your companions to dine with me and my lieutenants. Tell me about your missing friend and his ward, your adventures, all of it, then. For now, I'll have one of the men take you to a tent, and show you where to get water, heat, and blankets."

DAY
THE BANDIT CAMP

THE SEARCHERS settle in to the camp.

....................................................................................................

EVENING
THE PILGRIM'S HOSTEL
SAFANA AND CRANSTEL

CRANSTEL and Idele work together for a couple of hours, taking a skin sample from SAFANA'S wound, consulting texts, and performing tests.

Idele takes time away early in the examination process to send her driver looking for a more powerful cleric, one gifted with greater magical favor by the god. But who knows if that other priest will have prepared a ritual against poison, or come in time even if he has done so?

Time passes, and still no solution...

NIGHT

THE MERRY TRAVELLER--

DOMENICA wakens with someone pounding at her door. She hears Finn's voice through the panel. ''Boss, there's trouble. The Watch. Volmar got caught, I think...''

VOLLAMR & FINN

After leaving Domenica and the rest of the gang, the dwarf, carrying Crowley's dead body, and Finn search for a place to get rid of it. Things seem to be looking up for them as they have found a garbage filled alleyway. A patrol is passing even as they begin deposing the body and they almost get away home free. One perceptive guard decides to take a better look at what they are doing.

"Hold up a minute, you two."

Instructing some a ,man to have a look at what they were doing, incites Finn and Vollmar to not let themselves get caught! A fight ensues. Vollmar and Finn are lucky but not so lucky. Vollmar and Finn fight most of the men but a whistle gets blown and Finn flees. Finn is the luckier one who gets back to find his boss. Vollmar gets chased throughout the streets and another fight ensues, chase through alleyways but he is not fast enough.

The dwarf does not seem to want to go down! The men can't seem to knock him down and he pack a serious wallop, using anything to defend himself. A lantern, a door, even a man unlucky enough to be knocked out is used as a weapon to protect himself and hopefully flee.

NIGHT

THE MERRY TRAVELLER--

DOMENICA wakens with someone pounding at her door. She hears Finn's voice through the panel. ''Boss, there's trouble. The Watch. Volmar got caught, I think...''

She rouses from her sleep, cursing. Gimp lets Finn inside before he wakes the other patrons.

"Okay. Let me get dressed. This has not been a very good night for us. I am really pissed off right now. Ask GIMP what I do when I am pissed off. He has no tongue or privies to speak of because of that fact. Now, calm down." Without even waiting for him to turn around, she begins dressing after GIMP lights a lantern.

"Take us to where he was last. And I haven't forgotten about that bitch Crone. She has got it coming. "
