Ooops! I should have known better than to fall into that abyss. Yes, what I had meant was that the movie (and three tales within it) is based upon Lovecraft's books. Considering the fictional nature of the Necronomicon, a writer and/or director would be hard pressed to create a movie based on this book...sabbattack wrote:Necronomicon is but a myth Lovecraft created, to better solidify his mythos.

For what it's worth, I knew that the Necronomicon is fictional, and made up by Lovecraft. I should have been a bit clearer I suppose. Just that I heard that several people, inspired by the myths, made up their own version of the book, and that confused me for a moment. I didn't know there was a movie with that name.
