I leave to your imagination, what Tavian's last Eldritch Blast does to the giant 's head, but, when the smoke and smell of burned flesh fade, one can safely say that the beast is dead now - as dead as somebody whose head just exploded.

There you lie, half-dead somewhere in the icy rain, and take a deep breath. The monstrous treat is finally banned, or so it seems.

But what to do now?

Alain gathers his composure and releases a deep sigh.
"That takes care of that."he says shakily. He then moves to regroup with everyone remaining on the bridge.

Nicolas throws his cloak over the girl's face, preventing her from seeing the bloody demise of that monster. "I can at least spare her some of the horrors of this world," he thinks.

Once it is all over, and the carcase lies beneath the rain, he lets the child go. He bends down the girl's level, smoothing back her hair and wiping the rain from her eyes. As the others begin dragging Lodissio's still form across the bridge, he stands back up.

"We will take you with us," he says to her, "until we can find out what happened to you. I will not ask you now, for I am sure you are yet upset by those very events..."

Gently, he begins leading her towards the others, away from this wretched place...

A cruel grin spreads across Tavian's face as the creature's head bursts into flames. He stares at the gruesome scene for a moment, then turns to follow his newfound companions.
Again noticing the biting cold wind, he pulls his hood back up over his face. Not wanting to fall behind, he picks up the pace to move closer to the front of the group. In doing so, he notices the small girl for the first time. He keeps pace with her and Nicolas, intrigued by this new situation.

Jarryd feels a bit relieved that the beast was defeated before something happened. Putting his scimitar away, he turns on his feet and begins to walk towards the bridge.

What was that burning sensation I felt when I first steped on the bridge?? And where did that small girl come from? He asks himself. He takes a final look at the body of the beast, lying flat behind him. At least we managed to come out of this situation in one piece....more or less.

[So, do you first rest, or do you hurry over the bridge immediately? _ Iadvert that many of you are gravely wounded, and that further exhaustion will result in temporary CON damage, but the place you're currently at doesn't seem far to safe either... And you can't see the other end of the bridge... Tough choice...]

***OOC- In my sunday D&D game this is where someone would suggest we clean out the giants innards and use it as a giant sleeping bag  ...but anyways...***

Noticing that the others are weary, Tavian speaks up.
"I know you all are tired, but surely we must find a safer place than this," he says, holding his arms out to reference the bridge and cliffside, "We should walk a bit further across the bridge and hope to find civilization. Don't forget, the fate of your hooved friend hangs in the balance."

With that he turns his attention to the girl, who is about his height. He flashes a warm, wide smile, hoping to bring her some comfort.

Shana is in stage B of "Operation Panicked Flight"... flee area until credible safe spot is found. Suggestions of rest, halt or delay will be poorly received...

Across that bridge, and fast!

Seeing the rest of the group begin to lag behind, Nicolas offers a few (hopefully!) encouraging words.

"Come, we cannot rest here. There has been too much troouble on that side already. Perhaps we will find peace once we are across this sea..."

At the mention of the sea, his voice trails off, and he shudders, trying hard not to look down again. The memory of that awful visage is still fresh to him.

[In my home game, as well... I think my *heroes* wouldn't mind eating the giant. - I am DMing a campaign with PCs as Undead...]

I assume all will follow Nicholas and Shana who continue to hurry over the endless bridge...

[Since everyone seems okay with that, I'll wait until tomorrow, and then change the location... Do you still want to do something at the bridge's start?]

So, hastily, you move over the bridge as fast as you can. The rain is still falling down, every drop hitting your exhausted bodies like a nail.

You walk on for endless time, so it seems, until you are just to exhausted to proceed any more.

Around you, there's only that strange supernatural bridge undeer your feet, slippery and some times narrow, and the endless quiet ocean.

What do you do?

"Where in the nine hells does this bridge go?!?" Tavian yells, obviously frustrated at the situation.

Exhausted, Tavian falls to his knees panting.

"This is insane!"

Shana looks hopelessly around, and sinks to the ground.

"this must be some sort of... other world. Maybe its hell... I need to rest"

She sits down on the bridge, shivering with exhaustion, gazing out over the endless sea
