Alain looks to moorcroft with a small sad smile on his lips.
"We agreed to map Staunton Bluffs."
He then gives an expression so cold, his appearence seems as if to say there was no way of knowing what would lie before them as they set out to their mission.

George, upon hearing Brethana's call down the stairs, quickly finishes his apple an hustles up the stairs.

Making sure no one is looking, George tries to pocket an item from the collection, hopefully something expensive and/or magical looking.

"nope. As far as I can tell you are talking to thin air. Maybe they are invisible? or ethereal? maybe you're being haunted... what do they look like?"

glances at Alain "at least we were paid in advance..."

Roland looks at Moorkroft with amusement. "I don't suppose they'd happen to be a little man with a pitchfork on your left shoulder and a little man with wings on your right?" he asks, smirking. "You, friend Moorkroft, are crazy as a bedbug. However crazy that is."

Roland lifts his fork and is about to take another bite with something occurs to him, and he looks at Moorkroft again--now as if Moorkroft were a specimen he was wondering how to fit into his specimen-bottle. "Either that, or..." he mutters, mostly to himself. He hears Brethana's call but ignores it, twirling his fork absent-mindedly and fencing with imaginary foes as he considers some new idea.

devils

Post by ewancummins »

''They look like tiny black devils. Their faces are like those of ugly old men, and they have scaly hides, with crests of horns sprouting from atop their hairless heads. Their tails are like spit at the end , like a snake's tongue. I have tried asking them questions, but all they do is mock me, or else gibber and rave most indecently. ''

Moorkcroft looks suddenly very, very tired. ''I will pray and ask the holy one for guidance. Thank you, sweet friends.''

Jarryd walks around the house, contemplating the last rays of sun that iluminate the house.

His search is that more out of curiosity than to find anything in particular. Still he tries not to move away from the main entrance because it will be dark real soon.

Thinking he was caught in the act of pilfering, George stammers for a second, "Huh? Er, oh! No. Doesn't look familiar. Doesn't look particularly friendly either."

The young boy who does not move from George's side points with his finger on the painting.

"These are my father's castle's gates."

There's a book lying on what could have been meant as a reading pult.

It bears signs and letters used in Jarryd's homeland, but you are not sure - something about them is strange. Does the desert wanderer want to take a look?

Nothing to expensive to loot, but a lot of things of daily use, say, razor blades, wooden spoons, worn-out clothing... And a shining golden button on some west or another... But really, nothing of high value...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

As you keep talking, the sun sinks deeper to the horizon, and for the first time in ages, nothing immediately around you seems to point out *DANGER* or *I WANT TO EAT YOU*...

Yet, you haven't seen all the farm building complex yet...

Or do you want to postpone further investigations until tomorrow, and now take the rest you all need since so long?

Young Boy

Post by steveflam »

"Little one" Brethana asks softly, "And you know where your father's castle is?".

OOC:I do not know of the whole story of the young boy or why we are here, so the question may appear odd to those who have been here since the beginning, but not to me :)

For a while the dim light that comes from the hidden sun, reveals nothing in particular in the grounds of this house. However, when Jarryd was about to turn back to the main entrance he finds something lying on what appears to be a reading pult. It seems to be a book, but a closer inspection reveals it to be an ancient tome with writings in Jarryd's mother thongue: Akiri.

Suddenly it all comes bakc to him. The mission his mother gave to him. That is why he went on this journey...to find.... Could it be it??

Curiosity makes him strech his arm to grab the tome, but many tomb "expeditions" (as his father like to call those raids) had thought him not to rush on ancient tomes. With much difficulty due to the almost unexistant light, he tries to understand the text and sysmbols on this strange tome...

Darkness is almost upon me... he thinks.

Moorkroft arrives soon enough to hear the following...

[Noone is supposed to know his story, so don't worry...]

tarlyn st-denfer wrote:"Little one" Brethana asks softly, "And you know where your father's castle is?".
"My father's castle is the beautiful fortress Stonecrest, ruling over the county of Staunton."

The boy smiles innocently, and then pulls out another picture from one of the pile...

Downstairs, the situation remains peaceful and you all realize how exhausted you are... You all want to sleep and pray that the nightmares don't return...

Will you name assign some sort of nightwatch? - Remember that you haven't checked the basement level until now...
