Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
One thing I just thought of with regards to Mademoiselle Guillotine. . . If Mademoiselle Guillotine is every guillotine in Chelleaux, the very concept of a guillotine, what happens if somebody tries to take one of those inanimate guillotines across the border? Would the borders close? Would the guillotine lose it's magical charge? Perhaps the guillotine would maintain some sort of magic or curse, but lose the direct darklord connection? Or would this actually be a darklord that's capable of entering other domains?
Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
After a long hiatus, it is very very nice to see that this project is still going. I cannot wait to further establish Fallaya Basin.

Yeah I added a bit to some of the Mourning Pyre after looking up exactly what event it was supposed to have entered ravenloft under. XD

Thinking about this project again, as I think it's a good idea and don't want to just give up...
I might just move it over to Google Docs rather than the wiki and copy text from Docs to the wiki.
Would anyone be more interested if it were in a word-style document?

Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
Just finished a short adventure set in the Fallaya Basin. I did the Wood'n'Head story from the Carnival book and set it there, fleshing out aspects of the major city. I'll get to adding it all soon!
Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
is this project still on going? I think I might try adding to it if it is.

Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
Do we make suggestions or offer ideas on this page? If so, I want to say that there is a good forested domain next to the Fallaya Basin on the map. Any chance that could be turned into Timbergorge from Dragon #207? It might make for an interesting clash between Silvermaw, who detests humans and perhaps by extension, civilization and the Swamp Shambler who desires to have civilization. While they can't cross their borders, it won't stop them from trying once they become aware of each other. Silvermaw would see the swamps and the criminals and inbreeds and seek to destroy them while the Swamp Shambler would hope perhaps this new stretch of land would have civilization there and try to extend its reach there.
This can also lead to other issues. Such as the druids in Fallaya attempting to harness Silvermaw's lingering Feywild powers, or the werewolves crossing to the basin, trying to escape Silvermaw's wrath only to cross the Swamp Shambler.

Feel free to make them here, or put them in the wiki yourself. I don't know if there's been any movement on this project lately, but don't let that stop you.HyperionSol wrote:Do we make suggestions or offer ideas on this page?

Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
How do I make a new page? How do I link things? I have a few ideas for a Fallaya Basin.
Looking at the map, I was wondering if there was room in the Fallaya Basin for a real seaport. It seems like Fallaya was supposed to be the main settlement, but it seems bit upriver.

Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
Thanks! In regards to using proprietary content in the Mistipedia what are the rules? I ask because I may be mistaken, but it looks like pieces of some of the proprietary monsters entries come from published materials. I had some proprietary monsters and animals I was thinking of adding if it was allowed.Gonzoron of the FoS wrote:http://fraternityofshadows.com/wiki/Help:ContentsPizza wrote:How do I make a new page? Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
We shouldn't be copying text direct from proprietary sources. the goal of Mistipedia is to give a summary of the source material, and point people to where they can find more. Everything in Ravenloft is proprietary, so I'm not sure what you mean specifically. you can drop me a PM if you want to talk specifics.

Re: Crowd-sourcing a Cluster
No that clears it up more or less. I sent a message with some explanation of what led to the question.
