I'm reworking the end part of Servants of Darkness, and, Mount Lament there is a creature called Wraith Spider.
It is what its name says - an incorporeal spider that drain Constitution (poison) or level (bite). It first appeared in MC annual volume 2.
I do not think it was ever converted to 3e stats? Does it ring a bell to anyone?

Re: Wraith Spider
From the Wiki it they appear to have been converted in 3e "City of the Spider Queen". They appear to have switched out the Con drain with a Str, and dropped the level drain completely.Joël of the FoS wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 9:51 pm I do not think it was ever converted to 3e stats? I don't have the book, but I found a 3e stat block here if that is of any use.
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back they had written, "Wish you were here."
Re: Wraith Spider
There was also a version in Neverwinter Nights that had the level drain and a venom that did primary Con damage and secondary Str damage.
