Random - Darklord lookalike
Random - Darklord lookalike
So, with the backplot of my campaign looking like it's eventually going to take the characters into Darkon, and a PC that traces his roots back to Falkovnia, I've finally gotten around to actually reading my copy of Gaz II.
While I was going through the DM Appendix, I found the portrait of Drakov...and was somewhat thrown by his striking resemblance to my father.

Re: Random - Darklord lookalike
This isn't in the least surprising. The surprising part is you found out you are one of the bastard children of Vlad Dracov!!!
Anyways i meant no offense, that's kinda cool!

Years ago, I was making Spellfire cards for Ravenloft darklords, and I could not find any convincing images for Drakov from the internet.
The closest I could get, in recent years, was Sean Bean's Boromir from the LotR movies.

What about Stellan Skarsgård in King Arthur?

For what it's worth, I always thought Clint Eastwood made a pretty good face for Azalin.
You'd probably have to add on Ludwig van Beethoven's hair though.

Now I want to make a joke about that empty chair he was yelling at at the convention, but I'm honestly not sure if it would be appropriate...HuManBing wrote:For what it's worth, I always thought Clint Eastwood made a pretty good face for Azalin.

I cannot for the life of me find a picture of this man both A) looking serious and B) not wearing a trenchcoat, but nevertheless he is my pick for Dr. Mordenheim.

Wow.... i face palmed so hard there.... it might have left a mark. An angel/god/fallen angel/funny hippie/serious friend/small action figure toy/funny line of "Hey! A**butt!" then proceeds to holy Molotov the Arch Angel Michael....
Yeah, I can see that being a character in Ravenloft. I want to play him.

If we're just sharing head-canon...
I was a huge P.N. Elrod fan in/just after highschool, so read I, Strahd before I ever got into D&D. This was immediately after Lord of the Rings came out, and I had a ridiculous crush on Viggo Mortensen.
Consequently, in my head, warlord-Strahd will always look like Aragorn, and vampire-Strahd will always look like Lucifer from The Prophecy.

Re: Castiel-I've had plans for a while to create an NPC in my campaign based on him, either a celestial (or former celestial now mortal) living out his time trapped in Ravenloft in one of the asylums. Not because he's crazy, but because he feels the rest of the world is.
(interestingly, this was my plan way before Castiel actually ever wound up in an asylum...)

I was always a Timothy Dalton as Strahd supporter. But then I discovered Goran Visnjic. He's my new front runner.
