Morgoroth and the Phantasmal Forest

After finally being able to track down the entire background for Morgoroth I found out that the Phantasmal Forest came with him when he was whisked to Ravenloft. The ghosts that exist in the Phantasmal Forest I believe were intended to torment him in the beginning I believe. That being said was there a certain event in which that Ebonbane usurped control of the Phantasmal Forest or am I just misreading something?

There was *a* Phantasmal Forest around Shadowborn Manor. When Ferran Shadowborn left Alexi behind at the end of the Shadowborn novel and went home, his tales spread until (when the actual Phantasmal Forest appeared) the name stuck to the area around Tergeron Manor.

All the eerie forests around Nidala have joined into one Phantasmal Forest; the Ebonbane controls some of it; Morgoroth controls some; Addar controls some; and so on.

So basically what happened was the two forests bled together to create the Phantasmal Forest. Thank you for your answer.
