Pale riders are incorporeal undead Mist Creatures that sometimes answer the cry of people who seek vengeance. Pale riders offer those who gain their attention power to destroy their transgressors. However, if the benefited of the pale riders' blessings fail to destroy the objects of their vengeance within three nights, the pale riders descend upon those they formerly aided and destroy them.[1] Pale riders multiply, or at least believed to multiply, through the destruction of said benefited individuals that fail to achieve vengeance. The agreement between a pale rider and an individual it empowers comes always specifies the above condition as a stipulation of the deal.[2]
