Broken Ones are aberrations. They are often the product, whether intentional or unintentional, of experiments in biomancy or bio-engineering. The goals of such experimentation varies.
The result is usually something that is less than human and more than animal, or at least often enough a fusion of both.
Some Broken Ones are created from scientific or magical mishaps that fuse a human or humanoid creature with an animal, creating a horrific combination. From this fusion, they may gain an ability specific to the creature they're fused to, such as a cheetah's speed or a scorpion's stinger. They can regenerate damaged or severed limbs.
They seek the company of their own kind and form packs of 10 to 60 members.
Greater Broken Ones are, relatively speaking, superior specimens of this almost unclassifiable species that usually acts in a leadership role for these creatures.
Both types, Common and Greater, are immune to the effects of Fleas of Madness.
