Sachmet was a powerful and unique mummy who had a lair in the Koshka Bluffs in Nova Vaasa. She is a powerful priestess of Bast, the goddess of cats.
Sachmet originally led the Cult of Bast in the ancient city of Bubastis. She walked a dark path unusual for a servant of Bast when she experience pleasure at exacting punishment and final death against a transgressor of the faith. Gradually she grew to love inflicting pain, torture, and death upon transgressors, and the people of Bubastis grew to fear her wrath.
However, her hedonistic love of inflicting pain would be her downfall. Kematef, a priest of the hated god Set, let himself be caught and and put before her. Before she could destroy him, he injected her with a fatal and incurable poison. Sachmet died soon thereafter.[1]
