Casper Bartridge was a stowaway on a voyage aboard the American Dream, a ship bound from Hong Kong to San Francisco. Unfortunately for Casper, Dracula was a passenger under the guise of Bradley Teepes. As the ship neared the bay, Dracula murdered the crew before ramming it onto a nearby shoal. Other than Dracula, the only other passenger to survive was Casper. Unfortunately, the experience drove him mad. To make matters worse, Casper has been mistaken for Bradley Teepes, and he was incarcerated at San Francisco Sanitarium.[1]
