A Masque is an event during which [[The Mists]] of [[Ravenloft (Settting)|Ravenloft]] impose themselves on a [[Prime Material]] world.  This can last only briefly, or become permanent.  During this time, the world infused by Mists becomes more like [[Ravenloft]].  This process is described in the [[Ravenloft Players Handbook]], p11.
