In life, Claudette and Garland lived in a unhappy, broken marriage constantly in turmoil with each other. Claudette grew ever more [[paranoid]] about her husband's (nonexistent) infidelity until she set up a meeting for Garland with their [[maid]] [[Jennette]] that would prove her suspicions. When they finally were "proved" she took up a knife and went at Jennette, but Garland deflected it. [[Angelique Lockwood]] used their distraction to run them both through with a single swipe, killing them both and reanimating them as ghosts.
