Jasper (Demilord)

Jasper is a dread mechanical golem and the demilord of Grimswald Manor. In life, Jasper was a burglar who lived with his brother Grimswald, a tinkerer and owner of the Manor. Jasper came home badly burned and almost dead one night, begging for his brother to save him. Desperately, Grimswald hooked Jasper up to his machines and went to work fixing up his body as best he could. Most of Jasper's original body had to be replaced by metal, leaving Jasper a mechanical horror on wheels.

When Jasper awoke, he discovered his form to his horror and outrage. Jasper murdered his brother slowly and painfully. Jasper then tried to escape the basement of the manor, but he discovered he could not escape. Inspired by a brief flash of dark knowledge, Jasper hooked the body of Grimswald to an apparatus to keep all life from draining away from the body. From there, Jasper constructed the equivalent of a small factory able to churn out minor automatons. However, Jasper's dark flash of inspiration quickly drained away, leaving him unable to directly control the automatons. They assist him under the direction of his brother's addled brain, but Jasper's influence is never fine enough to allow an exit to be constructed that will allow him to leave.

Despite his limited ability to influence the automatons, Jasper has found he can create drones he can control by installing the brains of living mortals into them. These constructs can leave the manor and bring him more victims.

Jasper has constructed a horrible maze of traps and horrors in case anyone should invade his domain. He hoards the treasure of his victims, his greed as insatiable as ever.
