Following the deaths of most of the Kartova Family, Ludmilla Kartova Radavich married Burgomaster Nikolai Radavich, the later of whom assumed the title of burgomaster of the village of Barovia.[1]
Given that the events of Vampire of the Mists take place in the distant past, Nikolai is most likely deceased.
