Dulcimae

Dulcimae is a Vistani NPC from the module Touch of Death. A few weeks prior to the events of the module, she became raunie of her family. In Touch of Death, she is drawn into Har'Akir along with the player characters. Later, she fulls victim to the machinations of the villains and becomes one of the ancient dead, though her "phantom" helps the player characters discover some of the treachery.

Background

Dulcimae is the daughter of Madame Bodoni and the sister of Sergei, Marius, Antonio, Enrico, and Dominic. Following Madame Bodoni's death a few weeks prior to the events of the module, Dulcimae became the new raunie for her family.

Role in Touch of Death

At the beginning of ToD, Dulcimae and her family are drawn into Har'Akir by the will of Senmet, whom seeks new worshipers. Unlike her overprotective brothers, she is friendly to the player characters. If befriended, she eventually gives the PCs a reading of the tarokka.

Eventually, Dulcimae's nature as a seer deems her a liability by Isu Rehkotep and Senmet. She is kidnapped, murdered, and transformed into a mummy. However her spirit does not rest easily, and her "phantom" (no game statistics or type of incorporeal undead is given) reveals Isu's treachery to the PCs. Meanwhile, Dulcimae's mummy is encountered later in the service of Senmet along with some desert zombies. Dulcimae's mummy may be destroyed there Regardless of what happens, Dulcimae's phantom achieves final rest with the conclusion of the module, unless the Dungeon Master wishes her to appear a final time and take the PCs to another location.
