Mentioned in Tower of Doom, the iron sarcophagus (a proper name never given in the source material) is an artifact that can be used to turn humans into goblyns. Its lid is carved with the disgusting picture of a dog-headed man with his features warped into a ferocious snarl. It was found by Baron Caidin in the search for the Soulstone. He used it to create goblyns as a method of improving his mood.[1]
