In 5th Edition, a blight is a type of awakened plant that are infused and controlled by horrific evil. Blights push out normal, untainted plant life and replace it with that more becoming of their kind. Blights in any given area are typically born from a Gulthias tree, a tree corrupted by the essence of some evil beings consciousness. From this tree, evil spreads into the ground, corrupting or killing other nearby plantlife. Although not strictly controlled by a collective consciousness, blights are typically influenced by the consciousness that first birthed them, pursuing old goals and going after old enemies.[1]
