In the Strahd's Servitor dread possibility, Besczu was a Paridoner dread doppelganger that fled to Barovia after Paridon was absorbed into the Mists. Stealing money from the burgomaster of Immol, Besczu called the wrath of Strahd upon itself. The Vampire Darklord turned the doppelganger into a servant, a vampire spawn with its Change Shape and Detect Thoughts special abilities somehow intact. This "doppel-vampire spawn" now serves Strahd as a spy and executioner. Besczu is currently stationed at Castle Hunadora, where it keeps an eye on Gabrielle Aderre and the Gundarakite rebels. Besczu waits for the order to kill the Invidian witch along with Ardonk Szerieza and Matton Blanchard once their pestering of Malocchio Aderre is no longer useful to its dread Master.[1]
