It is constitutive of much of the dynamism of [[nature]] and is held to be, by [[planar mechanics]] and [[theologian|theologians]], a manifestation of [[positive energy]]. Its incarnation is the [[body]]. It consists of [[capacity]] and [[incapacity]]. It may include [[perception|consciousness]] and, in some cases, [[reflection|self-conciousness]]. [[Anatomy]] studies its material structures and [[physiology]] studies its material processes. [[Medicine]] studies the prolongation of its material processes. [[Theology]] teaches that the [[soul]] is its immaterial essence. Life's duration is finite, at least in [[mortal | mortal creatures]]. Its end is [[Death (condition)|death]]. Its antithesis and doppelganger is [[undeath]].
