Orcus is the demon lord of gluttony and undeath. Unlike many demon lords, he seems to have a spark of divinity. His cult is active on several outlander worlds on the Prime Material plane. Orcus is also featured in a number of Planescape products. Orcus and his cult are not mentioned in many Ravenloft products, 
probably implying his worship is mostly unknown in Ravenloft.
Orcus is mentioned in a few 4th Edition sources dealing with Shadowfell Domains, though none of these sources deal with the Demiplane of Dread setting proper. Orcus worshipers appear in both the Domain of Dread: Graefmotte, The Font of Shadows and in the novel The Mark of Nerath. Only in the latter does Orcus play a significant role; there he makes a deal with the fallen emperor of Nerath Magroth through his death priest Barana Strenk.
