Eva Candeau is the mother of Jacques du Almoy (known to her as Jacques Candeau). Dominic D'Honaire was the father. However, as Dominic became more and more infatuated with her, she became more and more repulsed by him. She eventually fled to go live with her parents and raise the child away from Dominic. However, the kidnapping of her child by the agents of the Living Brain drove her into a deeply depressed state of grief. She was thus confined to the Saulbridge Sanitarium, where she resides to this day.[1]
