Prince Vasili the Cruel is the prince and temporal leader of Okraina. He levies huge to bolster the budget of his soldiers, and he can be quite harsh in punishing those who transgress against him. Vasili is attempting to strong-arm the Church of Yarilo into releasing some of its hold upon the country.[1]
Despite his name, Price Vasili is not a particularly vile man, but he has fell to the manipulation of a secretive adviser. This manipulation may be of a magical nature.[1]
