Lady Adeline is an Elf Vampire, who resides within Valachan and is the Baron von Kharkov's chief enforcer of law. She is an Outlander, a Silvanesti elf hailing originally from Krynn.[1] Formerly an adventurer, she was captured by a cult and tortured before being turned into an elven vampire and escaping, being drawn into Valachan and meeting Von Kharkov. The two have an agreement of mutual protection and companionship.[2]

As Von Kharkov seldom exercises his authority directly, Lady Adeline and the Black Leopards act on his behalf to keep order, collect taxes, and make sure the bridal lottery is filled.[3] As Von Kharkov's highest enforcer and tax collector, her sadism is legendary among the people Valachan. Her brutal antics caused multiple rebellions from 680 BC to 730 BC.[4]
