Captain Nathan Timothy

Nathan Timothy is a werewolf who was born as part of a litter of six in Mordent in 684 BC to Eowin Timothy, a werewolf, and Emily Gerhardt, possibly not a werewolf. He is the grandson of Cain Timothy and Elizabeth Timothy, the nephew of Ester Timothy and Sean Timothy, the brother of Irene Timothy, and the cousin of Clifford Dilisnya and Virginia Dilisnya, and the uncle of Thomas Dobbs, all werewolves. Timothy left Mordent to wander and slaughter. In 708 BC, he was seized by the Mists and granted the domain of Arkandale of which he was the darklord. He was cursed, however, to forever remain on the River Musarde. He married Priscilla Schilling who was possibly not a werewolf. She gave birth to a litter of six in 709 BC, among them Alfred Timothy, Ester Timothy and William Timothy. There were at least five grandchildren, among them Lawrence Timothy, a werewolf. Priscilla died in 713 BC, trying to escape her husband according to rumor. Subsequently, Nathan kidnapped a young woman named Arabella whom he infected with lycanthropy and whom he dominates completely. In 730 BC, Alfred was seized by the Mists and granted the domain of Verbrek of which he was the darklord. In 740 BC, Arkandale was annexed by Verbrek and Nathan was set free to wander the length of the River Musarde and beyond as he wished. He masquerades as simply the proprietor and captain of the river schooner Virago.

Nathan Timothy is bigoted against the Vistani and may recount the tale of Bartley as part of his polemic against them. However, he is very wary about crossing them and goes to great lengths to avoid it.

Nathan Timothy and Matton Blanchard despise each other due to their competing unnatural natures.
