Gilan ApBlanc is Tristen ApBlanc's firstborn son, who died at 12 years old. He is currently a 2nd-Magnitude ghost who resides in all three time periods of Castle Tristenoira.[1]
Background
As a child, Gilan adored dogs, especially his own, a terrier named Petitcrieu. One day, the evil ghost Rual enticed Petitcrieu to snap at Tristen's heels, enraging the vampyre. Tristen called on the local wolf packs to maul the little terrier, but Gilan was witness to this and attempted to save his pet. In the process, the wolves turned on Gilan and ripped him apart before a horrified Tristen could intervene.[1]
Current Sketch
The trauma of the event has resulted in Gilan as a ghost driven mad. He carries around the spectral corpse of Petitcrieu wherever he goes, and treats him as if he was also alive. He remembers nothing of Petitcrieu's or his own death. He occasionally enjoys playing tricks on the adventurers and others, but for the most part he poses no threat or danger.[1]
