The Council of Lords meets annually to advise the Prince of Nova Vaasa. It is constituted of three individuals selected by the prince, the mayors of Kantora, Egertus, Liara, Bergovitsa and Arbara, and the patriarches of the ruling families for a total of twelve members. The appointed members are spymaster Rangvold Alriik, Aerkebiskop of Kantora Mathias Bolshnik, and Count of Ehrendton Poul Ehrend. The annual meeting has become a pointless formality under Prince Othmar. He can count on de rigueur support of his three appointees and of the mayors of Kantora and Egertus. Additionally, Duke Tunch Chekiv remains eager to stay on the good side of his prince and commands the opinion of the mayor of Arbora. Even opposition from the Vistins has dried up with the death of Duke Bevis Vistin, replaced by Lady Lara Vistin who is regent and who plays her cards close to the vest.
