Sir Kendall of Avonleigh[1] is a character from the Ravenloft product line novel Shadowborn. He was a hero and one of the Knights of the Circle whom resided in the Great Kingdom of Avonleigh (specifically within the Province of Avonleigh.) He perished in the August or September of 626 BC, a little over one month before the start of the events in the book (which was October). Sir Kendall's greatsword, Phantom (Greatsword), broke at the same time he was killed.
Sir Kendall's death opened a spot for Alexi Shadowborn to attempt a bid for membership in the Circle, thus setting off the events of the Shadowborn novel. Kendall's public funeral was held just prior to Alexi's Rite of Ascension.
