According to the elven epic poem, Aldon Filich was a thief who dreamed of challenging famous master thief Windsun. Filch discovered and stole a source of Windsun's power, a One-Fingered Hand. Upon learning how to benefit from its power, Filch challenged him to a duel and harnessed its power. He struck Windsun's paramour dead before Windsun swiped the One-Fingred Hand back and destroyed it, resulting in the rapid aging of both Windsun and Filch. Windsun was able to enjoy seeing Filch rapidly age to death under the weight of the dread artifact's curse.[1]
