Located in a shrine within I'Cath, the Bell of Lament holds the spirit of Tsien Chiang's good daughter Nightingale and part of Tsien Chiang's own, preventing death and aging for both of them. However, it also binds Nightingale to Tsien Chiang's will. If approached by creatures of non-good alignment (save for Tsien Chiang herself), the Bell of Lament rings, inflicting damage to creatures within range (more for undead and creatures from the Lower Planes), though this can be prevented with a disintegrate spell.[1]
