Vampires with this salient weakness can, at will, enshroud their selves in a mantle of darkness (as per the spell) as a supernatural ability. A vampire with this ability can see through their own Shroud of Darkness, but it is instantly negated if natural sunlight comes into contact with it.[1][2]
