Vladimir Nobriskov was a werebat born in a cave on Mount Gries. After his parents were killed by Dr. Rudolph van Richten, Nobriskov moved to Lechberg to keep a better eye on humankind. He adopted the persona of a wealthy nobleman and heartbreaker, and was nicknamed the Scarlet Prince. In this guise, he courted many women[1], including Monique Pretorius and afterward her sister Gennifer Pretorius.[2] While courting Gennifer, he murdered her sister to preserve his secrets[3]. Count Pretorius, the uncle and guardian of Lady Monique and Lady Gennifer, investigated the matter[3] and discovered Nobriskov's culpability. However, Nobriskov murdered the count as well before he could reveal Nobriskov's secrets to outside parties[4].

The deaths of Lady Monique and her uncle did not go unavenged. Nobriskov was eventually caught and killed by adventurers. Unknown to everyone, Nobriskov's bite left a lasting mark on Lady Gennifer in the form of lycanthropy. The great bat empathy she inherited from Nobriskov later led her to become a key component in the Night Swarm menacing Mount Gries and the environs[5], ironically the mountain where Nobriskov was born.
