The Darklord of Varamont, he was the heir to noble family that fell afoul of a rival house leaving him - the sole survivor - fleeing into the night. He sought shelter in the Varmine Mountains with a reclusive witch, and later returned to his home as a Lich, reclaiming it by force. He demanded that he be recognised by the King as his family's heir.
His demand was rejected by the king and a force was raised to destroy him. The troops slew him, but failed to find his phylactery. He retreated to Deadrock, where he named himself the Dead Lord and became the Darklord of Varamont
