Rushlights are evil undead spirits composed of ethereal flame, and look like a flaming ball of a person's agonized face and hands. They are formed when an evil person is immolated alive on a funeral pyre.
For the most part, Rushlights are invisible when viewed directly; but they can be detected using peripheral vision. The spell detect invisible will make them fully visible to the naked eye.
During the day, they bury themselves into the ground where they met their terrible death and arise at night to seek living victims.
