Dagmar Olavnya was born in Prime Material Barovia in 322 BC. She was widowed in 344 BC. She served loyally the von Zarovich family as the burgomaster of Immol. She and her two brothers were robbed of half the town's tax revenue by thieves in June of 352 BC. The brothers had served in the war against the Terg under Lord Markous. They were seriously injured by the thieves however. The strength of will of the woman impressed Strahd and, according to his account at least, the undead lord of Barovia bedded her.
