Moonbane was a lich in Hazlan against whom Dr. Rudolph Van Richten and Torenor led a failed expedition.[1][2] The confrontation with the lich had ended in an explosion of a large crystal that presumably held its life force. Van Richten was the only seeming survivor. he would only find out later that Moonbane had only faked his death.[1]
