Cyrilla's niece Vassa met a gruesome fate. After rejecting an obsessed Vaasa's Suitor, she was kidnapped and ultimately murdered to be incorporated into the dread flesh golem Katya. Upon encountering Katya, Cyrilla found she did not have the power to destroy it.[2]
