Jimmy Upton

Jimmy Upton is the son of Mae Upton and a resident of Stangengrad. He made a living as a thief, but one of scruples and honor, stealing just enough for he and his mother to get by. Mae wanted a more secure future as she aged, so she manipulated Jimmy into stealing (or attempting to steal) Reston's Folly from Fennelstock. Mae concocted a story to make Fennelstock the villain. In the process of the burglary, Jimmy became cursed by the amulet and therefore stuck in an incorporeal state. The experience nearly alienated him completely from Fennelstock, which would have prevented Jimmy from ever finding a method of escape from the curse of Reston's Folly. Fortunately, Fennelstock seems to have rid Jimmy of the cursed necklace, judging by the fact that, as of 757 BC, they appeared to have established a business called Fennelstock & Upton that specializing in undoing the effects of cursed magic items.
